The Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has announced 26th March, 2022 as new date for the party’s national convention.
Addressing newsmen after a close door meeting at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, National Secretary of the committee,Senator John James Akpanudoedeha highlighted activities leading to the convention which is expected to commence from 24th of February to 26th March, 2022.
He said the Chairman of the CECPC and Governor of Yobe Mai Mala Buni, has written the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) in a letter dated 21st February, 2022 on the development.
Also, approved dates for activities of zonal congresses across the 6 geo political zones will kickoff from Thursday 24th February, 2022 to Wednesday, 16th March, 2022.
