Former Vice President of Nigeria and the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential primary election, Atiku Abubakar has received his Certificate of Return from the national Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu for the contest of the 2023 presidential election.
Atiku who collected the certificate at the PDP national Secretariat in Abuja pointed out that the ruling All Progressives Congress must be defeated in the election to pave way for rescuing and rebuilding of the country.
Presenting the certificate to Atiku, PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu commended the aspirants that participated at the election, urging them to assist the party’s candidate win the next presidential election. Atiku recently emerged as the presidential candidate of the PDP for the 2023 general election, having polled 371 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike who polled 237 votes.
The aspirants that contested alongside Atiku who graced the occasion were, former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, Tari Oba Olivar and Sam Ohuabunwa.
