The Department of State Services (DSS) said it has commence an investigation into an incident that occurred on Thursday 7th September 2023 at the Garki Market Abuja between its staff and a mob.
According to a statement by the Service Spokesman,Dr Peter Afunanya, its FCT Command responded to an SOS from their field operatives who allegedly came under a mob attack in the said market.
He said the Service will commence investigation into the matter while assuring that it’s details will be communicated as soon as possible
Afunanya also stated that the DSS will not hesitate to mete out proper disciplinary measure(s) to its staff if found culpable or running foul of Standard Operating Procedures on dealing with a member of the public.
The Service assured the public that details of the inquiries will be communicated as soon as possible.
