Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello says the greatest challenge militating against speedy growth and development of Nigeria is nepotism, religious intolerance among other vices. He made this known when the leadership of the Nigerian Guild of Editors paid him a visit in Abuja. Governor Bello while nothing that the agitations by political elites on which region the next President should come from was a waste of time emphasized that unless ethnicity is eliminated for merit, the country will only be moving in circle. The Kogi State Governor also spoke on some strategies adopted to ensure the safety of lives and properties in his state. He also highlighted other key interventions of his administration. Earlier, the President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, Mustapha Isah informed the Governor of their mission. He however, urged other states government to adopt the Governor Yahaya Bello’s strategy on tackling insecurity in their domain.
