As the registration window of the 2021 unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) end May 29, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says over 80 percent of problems encountered by prospective candidates were self-created by candidates. This Indication was revealed during a monitoring exercise for some prospective candidates, who were unable to register for the examination. The exercise allows candidates to fill and submit a form on challenges that prevented them from registering for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation and Direct entry examinations . CNA News visited some of the centres playing host to the exercise in Kogo and Garki 2 Reacting to the development, Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, expressed worry over the number of candidates that failed to follow simple instructions on the registration process. The JAMB boss however noted that the exercise will enable the Board intervene on genuine cases as raised by the candidates.
