Nigeria in recent times has been faced with security challenges ranging from Terrorism, kidnapping, banditry, Armed robbery amongst many others. This crimes have remained a threat to good governance and overall economic development and well-being of Nigerians. In an effort to fight the challenges, a 15 member committee was inaugurated On the 7th of May, 2019 with responsibility to study and analyse the findings, recommendations and implementation strategies of the presidential parley Report of the National Institute of policy and strategic studies and come up with policy statement for Government within a time frame of 2 months. Three months after, the committee has come up with actionable recommendations for strengthening internal security framework and implementation of community policing in the country.
