This is not a good day for residents of Paipe, a suburb in the Abuja Municipal Area Council in the Nations capital,Abuja as they played host to bulldozers of the federal capital Territory Administration. Over thirty structures bearing demolision notice dated August 30,2019 were pulled down for allegedly encroaching approved layouts,road,rail corridors and waterways. Even when notice for the demolition exercise were duly effected, residents of the affected structures were not expecting the FCTA officials this soon. This is as a few of them on ground were seen trying to save a few properties from the wreckage of the demolished buildings. They expressed reservation at the conduct of the FCT officials saying they were not given enough time to move their belongings.
