The Chairman, Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic, N’yak, Abubakar Usman has indicated plans to ensure the newly established institution becomes the hub of technological innovation and research in the region.
Usman said this at the inaugural meeting of the Council at the permanent site of the Polytechnic in N’yak, Plateau state.
He restated the commitment of the council to Initiatives that will transform the Polytechnic into a solution-driven research and innovation centre in Nigeria.
The Chairman who alongside other members of the council inspected some facilities in the Polytechnic, expressed sadness that the 3 year old institution had only 22 students with low pace of infrastructural development.
Meanwhile, the Rector, federal Polytechnic N’yak, Dr Mukaila Ya’u in his remarks reeled out some interventions to reposition the institution including the student loan scheme.
The federal Polytechnic N’yak, plateau state established 3 years ago by the Buhari administration presently run three academic programmes including Statistics, Business Administration and Electrical Electronics Engineering.
