Eid-ul-Maulud: NCPC Felicitates With Muslims, Calls For Support For Victims Of Recent Flood Disasters

The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, has called on Muslim faithful in Nigeria and world-over to use the occasion of the birth of Prophet Mohammed to pray for victims of recent flood disasters as well as offer support to the victims.

This was contained in a statement signed by the, Deputy Director and Head, Media and Public Relations, Celestine Toruka and made available to Channel Network Afrique, CNA.

He said the Eid-ul-Maulud celebration should be use to also affect the less privileged as that is what the teachings of the Prophet stands for.

According to the statement, the Executive Secretary, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, said Eid-ul-Maulud offers Muslims a unique opportunity to celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and reflect on his teachings.

He urged the Muslim Ummah and all Nigerians to embrace the values of patience, sacrifice, and resilience during this celebration.

While imploring the Muslim Ummah to pray for lasting peace, prosperity, and a more egalitarian society in Nigeria,
Bishop Adegbite also urged them to pray for President Bola Tinubu and his administration for divine guidance for the successful implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He however, expressed optimism that the current challenges facing the country are temporary and encouraged Nigerians to have faith in the present administration.
