The National Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC has called on Nigerians to boycott the planned nationwide protests as it is not the best form of conflict resolution despite the economic hardship being faced by the people.

This advice was contained in a statement signed by the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission,
Bishop, Stephen Adegbite, and made available to Channel Network Afrique.

According to the statement, the country has been bedevilled with mirage of challenges which President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is working tirelessly to address through various reforms.

“I encourage us to refrain from participating in the planned nationwide protest and instead explore alternative channels for expressing our concerns.

“Let us engage in peaceful dialogue, constructive criticism, and collaborative problem-solving,” he advised.

He also appealed to Nigerians to work together in finding lasting solutions that will benefit the nation as a whole.

“Nigeria is like a ship in a storm; we must work together to keep it afloat, rather than risking it being dashed on the rocks of unrest and chaos.

“As the nation navigates the challenges of fuel price hikes, high dollar exchange rates, and increasing cost of living, I urge all Nigerians to remain calm and peaceful.

“While frustrations are understandable, I implore us to consider the efforts of our President, who has been working tirelessly to address these issues.

“Despite the difficulties, the President has been implementing palliatives across the states to alleviate suffering,” he said.

He however, urged Nigerians to pray for both the country and its leaders.

“I call on all Nigerians to continue praying for our nation and its leaders, especially our President, for wisdom and guidance in these challenging times.

“Let us choose the path of peace, patience, and perseverance, and work together to build a better Nigeria,” he concluded.
