School Feeding Progr: FG Seeks Private Sector Help To Bridge Funding Gaps.

Stakeholders from various sectors, including Government, Development Partners, Financial Institutions among others converged on the nations capital for a one day dialogue on Public Private partnerships and innovative financing to enhance investments in school feeding in Nigeria.

The strategic meeting convened by the office of the Senior Special Asistant to the President on school feeding programme is to find innovative solutions to address the funding gaps, leverage investments, and ensure the sustainability and scalability of school feeding programs in Africa.

The Senior Special Assistant to the president on School Feeding Programme, Dr Yetunde Adeniji in her remarks outlined the relevance of school feeding programme on the educational, nutritional, and overall development of children and urged the gathering to commit to a practical solution that will improve the lives of millions of children by ensuring they receive the nutrition they need to thrive.

Some of the development partners on their part lauded the initiative saying it will help fight malnutrition and build human capital development.

The school feeding programme initiative was reintroduced by President Tinubu across the basic school system to among other gains address the challenges of out of school children in Nigeria.
