2023: Labour Party Inaugurates Presidential Campaign Council.

As the race for next year’s general election draws close, political parties have commenced the process of inauguration of their campaign councils.

The Labour party has joined the likes of the People’s Democratic party to unveil a 1,234 campaign council under the chairmanship of Mohammadu Zelewa.

The party’s presidential candidate Peter Obi and his deputy, Ahmed Datti were absent at the ceremony performed by the Secretary General of the Obi/ Datti campaign council, Clement Ojukwu .

In his remarks, the Chairman of the party, Julius Abure, represented by the General Secretary Umar Farouk, said the event is historic as it is set to renew the hope of Nigerians.

Meanwhile, the Director General Obi/Datti campaign Council, Doyin Okupe in his remarks called on INEC to ensure a level playing ground for all political parties ahead of next year’s general election.

The campaign Council which has the largest number so far, comprises of men women, youths and people living with disabilities.
