Anambra Governorship Election To Hold Nov.8, 2025- INEC The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Saturday, November 8, 2025 as the date for the Anambra State Governorship Election. Chairman of INEC,Prof.
Mahmood Yakubu made the announcement at an extraordinary meeting with political parties held at the commissions headquarters in Abuja.
Yakubu said the announcement was in line with relevant session of the electoral act which requires the Commission to issue the notice for elections not later than 360 days before the date of the election.
As expected ,the INEC chairman gave more details on the poll with major activities expected to kick off in 2025.
For the Ondo State Governorship election,the INEC boss says the commission has commenced the distribution of permanent voters card to respective voters.
Responding, National chairman of the Inter Party Advisory Council IPAC, Yusuf Dantalle called for Reforms that will strengthen the nations electoral process. T
he meeting was attended by the leadership of various political parties including the All Progressive Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP).
