FG Announces Cut-off Marks For 2022/2023 Academic Session.

The federal government has announced minimum admission cut off mark for the 2022/2023 academic session. While the minimum cut off mark for universities was pegged at 140, Polytechnic and Colleges of Education were allotted 100 respectively.

Announcing the decision at the 2022 policy meeting on admission, the Registrar of JAMB, Prof Ishaq Oloyede solicited the support of all tertiary institutions to ensure a seamless admission process.

He however warned that institutions are not allowed to go below the recommended standard. Meanwhile, the minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu in his remarks called on institutions to comply by the admission procedure as implemented by JAMB.

He said the government as part of efforts to ensure strict compliance of the decisions arrives at the policy meeting will enforce sanctions where necessary. Other takeaways from the meeting attended by various stakeholders in the nations tertiary education sub sector includes the decision to conclude the admission process by December 31,2022.
