Nigeria over the years has had its own share of economic and security challenges which no doubt calls for concerns as the nation journey towards the 2023 general elections. Why the Government is not leaving any stone unturned to address the issues, Independent groups and organisations are complementing the efforts to ensure peaceful coexistence and economic emancipation of the country.
This may have informed a one-day meeting put together by the Development Specs Academy to initiate workable solutions to the nation’s challenges. In his remarks, the Executive Director, Development Specs Academy,Okey Ikechukwu said the dialogue became necessary as part of efforts to ensure the country is steered on the right path of history.
Stakeholders at the event on their part expressed belief that increased productivity, change in consumption pattern of Nigerians and improvement in national security will create an enabling environment for a reversal of the current state of the nation.
The youths were not left out, as they were urged to make informed non-violent interventions in the polity with clear goals of development and sustainable social order. Other takeaways include the need for the government to be serious in the area of public perception management crisis, strategic communication as well as more proactive in information dissemination.
