EID-ul-Maulud: Embrace Peace, Unity, Police Service Boss Urges Muslim Faithful

As Muslims world-over commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG, Hashimu Argungu has called on Muslim faithful to remember the Prophets teachings on love, peace, kindness and tolerance.

In a statement signed by the Head, Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani and made available to Channel Network Afrique, CNA, Argungu also said the occasion calls for renewal of faith in Nigeria, for tolerance, sacrifice and manifest patriotism.

The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, who called on Nigerians to use the occasion of the celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad to pray for the unity and oneness of the Nigerian nation, said the birth should reignite a new awakening for a new and progressive Nigeria

He urged citizens to support the leaders as well as promote the ideals that unite the nation.

“On this auspicious day, may our faith in Allah grow stronger in our hearts and let us be filled with gratitude.

“Let’s remember that the Prophet’s life is a source of guidance for us,” he said.

DIG Argungu further extended his felicitation for a blessed EID-ul Maulud celebration and prayed that “may your heart be filled with faith and love”

He however, called on Muslims in the Commission to be exemplary and always reflect on the attributes of the Prophet for the grace of His birth to illuminate their lives.
