Ahead of the 2023 General Elections, more groups have continued to identify with the presidential aspiration of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State. This time around, the National Coalition for Women support were at the Kogi state Governors lodge in Asokoro,Abuja to add their voice to calls for Governor Bello to indicate interest and contest the presidential poll. National Coordinator of the group Hajia Mariam Danjaki in her remarks,said the move became necessary following the Governor’s numerous achievements in the area of health, agriculture, security, women and youth empowerment, Infrastructural developments among others. The group further cited criteria that favour Gov Bello above other individuals that have also indicated interest to contest for the ruling All Progressive Congress Presidential slot. Responding,Governor Bello commended the group for their solidarity and promised to make his intention public after the APC National Convention. It is expected to be seen if the Governor will join the likes of former Governors of Lagos and Abia state, Bola Tinubu, Orji Uzor Kalu, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State that have so far indicated their interest to contest the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the APC.
