Civil Servants and other workers in the Federal Capital Territory have resumed work after observing the public holidays declared by the Federal government for the celebration of Christmas and New Year.
Channel Network Afrique visited the popular Federal Secretariat in Abuja to monitor the level of turnout by the civil servants and some of them were seen resuming at their duty posts.
Speaking to CNA, a youth activist, Kenneth Chukwudi expressed worry over the state of insecurity in the country and urged advocated need for the federal government to address the concern.
In the same vein, a civil servant, Maimuna Abdul says she is expecting the federal government to put practical measures in place in 2022 to check the high prices of food stuffs in the country among other demands.
Other workers on their part called on their colleagues still observing the holidays to resume work. They also pledged their commitment to support the current administration in achieving its set goals.
The ever busy Federal Secretariat Complex and its surroundings is still a shadow of itself as activities have not fully resumed.
