Ahead of the 2023 elections, the Director General, Voice of Nigeria, Osita Okechukwu says the formation of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), was not solely to capture political power but on strong ideologies to fast tract meaningful development of Nigeria. Speaking in Abuja while giving a keynote address at the annual Public lecture of the APC Press Corp, Okechukwu insisted that the APC in the last six years has been more focused in building the infrastructural development foundations for a new Nigeria. Okechukwu, who was reacting to a statement credited to the newly elected chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Iyorchia Ayu who recently described the APC as a mere contraption. The public lecture was attended by the various APC Chairmanship Aspirants who also used the platform to unveil their agenda on repositioning the party ahead the 2023 general elections. The theme of the annual Lecture series Organised by the APC Press Corps is ” APC Beyond 2023, The Task Ahead; The Role Of Stakeholders.
