Agencies,parastatals of government have been challenged to take a cue from the Nigeria Immigration Service by making rendition of their annual report a duty.
Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola gave the charge while unveiling the Nigeria Immigration Service 2020Annual Report in Abuja.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr. Shuaibu Belgore, the minister noted that the content of the Report reveals that the Service fared well in the year 2020 which indicates the level of commitment by the Service and its parent Ministry, the Ministry of Interior.
He commended the NIS Comptroller General, Muhammad Babandede for consistently making the Annual Report available.
Earlier In his remarks, the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede, stated that despite the challenges of COVID-19 in the year 2020, the NIS was able to maintain high tempo in its operations, reforms and service delivery.
The CGI also encouraged Nigerians to take advantage of the Annual Report to avail themselves with activities of the NIS especially as the document will be accessible via the Service Official website: www.immigration.gov.ng
