Just In: Nigeria To Host UN 75 Regional Dialogue For Africa.
Ahead of the forth coming United Nations 75 Regional Dialogue for Africa, the Nigerian Government says it will continue to play a lead role in addressing some of the pertinent challenges in the continent. Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha gave the indication when he played host to a delegation led by the former Nigeria permanent representative to the UN, Prof Ibrahim Gambari in Abuja. He assured of Nigeria’s preparedness to host the dialogue especially as it seeks to address prevailing challenges of climate change, population explosion, immigration, huge government deficit and internal conflict among others in the continent. Earlier, leader of the delegation,Prof Ibrahim Gambari said the conference is expected to discuss and identify areas the UN, African Union and the broader international community can mobilise efforts for a much prosperous and peaceful Africa. The Conference which is expected hold in March 2020, will be hosted in Abuja.
