Breaking: Nigerian Government Wade’s Into Crisis Rocking African University Of Science And Tech.
The African University of science and technology jointly owned by the Nigerian Government and Nelson Mandela Institution established in 2007 have in recent times failed in meeting it’s objective in improving Africa’s Capacity in Science and technology. This is as issues like funding, governance crisis, ownership saga even allegation of the sale of parts of the University land for private use have paralyzed academic activities in the institution. As part of effort to address the issues, a 10- man administrative audit panel have been constituted and Inaugurated by the permanent secretary, federal ministry of Education, Sunny Echonu. He charged the committee to work out modalities aimed at restoring sanity in the institution.
