Computer Based Education, A Goldmine Yet Untapped by Nigeria.

The senator’ representing Akwa Ibom South in the National Assembly, Akon Eyakenyi, has advocated a computer- based system of education from Primary to secondary schools, if Nigerian youths are to stand at par with their peers around the world in the international employment market. Eyakenyi stated this in Abuja after she presented a motion in the floor of the red chamber on the urgent need to address the sorry state of computer education, by providing training for teachers and basic computer facilities in public schools. Her motion, which was supported by 34 other lawmakers, noted that almost all aspect of Nigerian and global sectors is ICT based and the generation yet unborn are not being prepared for the future.
