A Civil Society Organization, Vanguard for Transparent Leadership and Democracy (VATLAD) has called for peaceful resolution of the political crisis in Rivers State.
This is as the group faults third parties for the rift between Governor Sim Fubara and his predecessor Nyesom Wike.
Addressing a news conference in Abuja, National President of VATLAD, Comrade Emmanuel Igbini said persons not happy with the role played by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory in the victory of President Tinubu in the 2023 General Elections are not resting in their bid to bring him down.
The activists who had one time made efforts to settle the Governor and his estranged political Godson also expressed reservation at the nonchalant attitude of the National Assembly over the crisis.
Igbini warned of a severe national economic crisis if the Rivers State political lock jam is not given the attention it deserves.
