Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume has urged relevant Stakeholders to work in synergy with the Government to initiate a road map for transforming the nation’s Public Service into a world class institution.
The SGF gave the indication in Abuja while declaring open a 2- day integrity innovation lab for public servants to support the culture of integrity within government and governance.
Represented by Simon Tungu, a director in the SGF office, Akume affirmed that creating an integrity innovation lab will change the narrative in the nations quest for excellence in its public service.
In his welcome address, the Director General of Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Arabi Dasuki represented by the Head of Audit, Emmanuel Achoda, emphasised reasons why the nation’s public institutions should be integrity driven especially in the area of delivering world class services to Nigerians.
Meanwhile, the Country Director, Accountability Lab, on his opening statement outlined the objectives of the workshop The 2-day workshop is expected to promote constructive conversations about integrity and accountability, enhance the knowledge of public servants, and build alliances for collective accountability efforts.
