Nigeria Security agencies are set to invest more in advanced technologies and equipment to enhance their capacity in tackling security challenges in the country.
Major General, Edward Buba, disclosed this at a joint news conference by the Strategic Communications Interagency Advisory Policy Committee at the Defence headquarters in Abuja.
The committee, coordinated by the office of the National Security Adviser serves as the umbrella body for the spokespersons of all Nigerian security and response agencies that facilitates unified and strategic communication of their activities.
Highlighting gains recorded collectively over the last one year, General Buba scored the agencies high.
He said, going forward the agencies will strengthen its intelligence-sharing mechanisms in order to preempt and counter security threats more effectively.
Some participants also spoke on sundry security issues.
They however, called on Nigerians, private sector, NGOs, religious communities, and other stakeholders to support the efforts of security forces in order to make the nation safer.
