Few days after aggrieved women leaders of the All Progressives Congress stormed the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja protesting against being used and dumped, the wife of the President, Remi Tinubu has distributed bunch of wrappers to calm frail nerves.
The wrappers distributed, falls under the Renewed Hope Investment Programme of the Tinubu led administration.
Speaking at the official launch of the programme targeting women in fabrics business, the Senator Oluremi Tinubu represented by the wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Shettima said the move was to include women politically and financially.
The APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, urged the women to be transparent and nationalistic in the distribution of the wares.
He however, urged state governors to replicate the gesture in their states and local government areas.
