As part of efforts and moves to resolve the leadership crisis rocking the party, the National Chairman, of Labour Party, Julius Abure has extended the olive branch to the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress in order to form a formidable force to fight for better living conditions for the people.
He made the call at a news conference to present the party’s newly inaugurated National Working Committee at its National Secretariat in Abuja.
Comrade Abure said the NLC and the party do not need to waste their collective energies in fighting themselves but channel it towards making the country a better place. He said, the party must create an enabling environment to be in power and use same for the betterment of people.
The Labour Party Chairman also said a directorate has been created to absorb the obidient movement into the party’s structure to consolidate their gains considering the role they played in the party’s performance in the last general elections.
The party leadership also said Peace and Reconciliation Committee will soon be inaugurated to hear complaints of aggrieved members, examine issue raised, carry out due investigation and consultation as well as make recommendations.
