Insecurity: FG Criminalises Unauthorised Use Of Camouflage By Para-Military
The Federal Government has re-emphasize the ban on the use of Military camouflage by other Para-Military Agencies in order to checkmate criminal activities as well as bring sanity across the country.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Director, Information, Ministry of Defence, Henshaw Ogubike and made available to Channel Network Afrique, CNA.
The statement indicated that the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, reaffirming the ban, by stressing that it is only the Armed Forces and the Nigeria Police Force while on Joint Operation with the Military are allowed by law to use the Military camouflage.
He said the enforcement of the ban becomes imperative in view of the security implications and concerns raised on the clamour of duplicity and proliferation in the country.
According to him, criminals have had to take advantage of the Military, Police and other security agencies’ gears to perpetrate crimes.
