Military Records Major Breakthroughs, Sustains Pressure on Terrorists, Kidnappers Nationwide

The Nigerian Armed Forces have recorded significant successes in ongoing operations against terrorism, kidnapping and other criminal activities across the country.

The Director of Defence Media Operations (DMO), Major General Michael Onoja, disclosed this during a media briefing in Abuja, where he reviewed military operations for the month under consideration.

According to him, the achievements were made possible through sustained synergy between the military and other security agencies, resulting in improved operational effectiveness against criminal elements.

Major General Onoja noted that troops deployed across various theatres of operation intensified offensive actions against terrorists, kidnappers and other armed groups, leading to notable gains in the country’s security efforts.

In the South-South region, he said troops dealt a major blow to crude oil thieves and other economic saboteurs, disrupting their activities and preventing the loss of valuable national resources through enhanced operations against oil theft.

The Defence spokesperson also appealed to Nigerians to continue supporting security agencies with credible and timely intelligence, stressing that public cooperation remains crucial to ongoing efforts to address insecurity nationwide.

He assured citizens of the military’s commitment to sustaining the momentum of ongoing operations in collaboration with other security agencies to safeguard lives, property and critical national assets.
