Regional lawmakers in the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS Parliament, have expressed dismay over the non-implementation of decisions taken and recommended to authorities of heads of state and council of ministers for the wellbeing of the sub-region.
They made the criticism in an interview with news men after the opening of the 2024 first extraordinary session of the Parliament in Freetown, Sierra-Leone.
The lawmaker’s said, the ideals and purpose for the establishment of the Parliament by the founding fathers has been lost as such needs to be redefined.
They however, have this to say about the meetings and its frivolous spending.
This is the last extraordinary meeting of the fifth legislature.
