This is Lokogoma, a satellite town in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja. Over the years,residents in the town have lived in fear due to incessant flooding during the raining season. For every rain in the community,lives and properties are washed away. Just Recently, a 17 year old boy, Tuesday Bala and a family of 3 got drown in the flood. It is however not surprising that the pathetic situation in the area has attracted the attention of the fct authorities . Deputy Director, Engineering services, Ferdinand Ezeoha who was on an assessment visit to the community attributed the development to the blocked waterways meant to Channel overflows from river kabusa to the community.
