Day Of The African Child… We Want Increased Access To Education,Nigerian Youths Tasks Government
No doubt ,this is a masterpiece by little Shuse Alagn on the day Nigeria joins the rest of the world to observe the day of the African Child. The Day of the African child is being observed to commemorate the 1976 shooting of hundreds of students in Soweto South Africa while demonstrating for their rights to quality education. To ensure Nigeria is not left behind, hundreds of youths from ten Northern states and the federal capital Territory, converged on Abuja to advocate for increased access to safe quality education for all especially the girl child. Brandishing several placards to drive home their message, the youths embarked on a peaceful walk from the eagle square complex to the unity fountain to draw attention of both the government and the private sector on possible solutions to the present state of education in Nigeria.
