The National Agency for Food And Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has warned against the use of the Deekins Amoxicillin 500mg capsules due to its adverse effects on users.
NAFDAC Director General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja.
She said the Deekins Amoxicillin 500mg capsules with batch number 4C639001 were recalled by its manufacturer after multiple reports of severe reactions.
Prof. Adeyeye thereafter warned against distributing, administering, or selling the affected product.
The NAFDAC boss further urged Nigerians to report any suspicion of substandard and falsified medicines to the agency’s nearest office or through its social media handles.
