Plateau Attack: Defence Minister, Humanitarian Minister, Service Chiefs Visit Affected Areas.

The Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle and Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Dr Betty Edu led a powerful Federal Government delegation to visit and commiserate with the government and good people of Plateau State over the sad event that occurred recently in Bokkos and Barkin- Ladin Local Government Areas of the State.

Dr. Matawalle, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and, Dr. Betta Edu and the Service Chiefs visited then qare in Plateau state as part of the Federal Government delegation.

According to a signed statement by the Director, Information Henshaw Ogubike, and made available to Channel Network Afrique, the two Ministers with the delegation visited the affected areas of Bokkos and Barkin- Ladin where they held a stakeholders’ meeting with the people of the affected communities.

They also paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Caleb Mutfwang where they held fruitful discussion on how to stamp out insecurity from the State.

While condoling the people of the affected communities, Dr. Matawalle reassured them of the Federal Government’s commitment to fighting all forms of criminalities that have bedeviled our communities and nation in general.

“Mr. President has directed that we visit you people and to reassure you that Military will restore peace in the affected communities and that the perpetrators of this dastardly act will be arrested,” he said.
