ITF Set To Graduate Over 5,300 Trainees

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) is set to graduate and present start-up packs to over 5,300 Nigerians under its 2023 special skills intervention programmes.

A statement signed by the Director, Public Affairs Department, Suleyol Fred-Chagu and made available to Channel Network Afrique, CNA said
the graduation ceremonies will take place between 13th November and 24th November, 2023 across the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to the statement, State Governors will be special guests at the events in their respective States while the Minister of the FCT, Dr. Nyesom Wike and the Minister of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI), Dr. Doris Anite Uzoaka will be the special guest and distinguished guest respectively at the National closing ceremony in Abuja.

The statement added that the programmes that have been implemented under the 2023 skills intervention programmes include the National Industrial Skills Development Programme (NISDP), the Women Skills Empowerment Programme (WOSEP), Construction Skills Empowerment programme (CONSEP), Agripreneurship Skills Empowerment Programme (AgSEP) and the Skills Training and Empowerment Programme for the Physically Challenged (STEPP-C).

It further said the Implementation of the programmes which commenced in June, 2023, lasted for a period of three months and equipped trainees with cutting-edge skills in several trades namely: Solar Power Installation, Hair Dressing and Beauty Care, Tailoring and Fashion Design.

Others are Plumbing and Pipefitting, Ladies Wigcap Making, Leatherworks like Shoe and Bag Making, Painting and Plaster of Paris and integrated Farming.
