10th Assembly: What House Stands To Gain With Chinda As Minority Leader- Igbini.

With the emergence of Hon Tajudeen Abass and Benjamin Kalu as Speaker and deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, the searchlight is now beamed on other levels of leadership in the green chambers.

Despite various names have been rumoured for these positions, a human rights activists, Comrade, Emmanuel Igbini has appealed to opposition members of the legislature to look in the direction of Hon. Kinsley Chinda, as their Minority Leader.

At a news conference in Abuja, Comrade Igbini who is the National President of Vanguard for Transparent Leadership and Democracy, VATLAD, said Chinda, who represents Obio Akpor Constituency of Rivers State have the legislative experience to effectively checkmate the executive arm of government.

Igbini added that Hon. Chinda as a former Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee in the green chamber of the 8th assembly was able to put many government agencies on their toes.

The activist further dismissed insinuations linking the lawmaker to former Governor, Nyesom Wike and the intrigues that played out in the PDP during the 2023 general election, as it may affect his chances to clinch the minority seat of the 10th House of Representatives.

Igbini called on the opposition political parties, to rally round and give Chinda the required support to emerge as their Minority Leader in the House of Representatives.
