The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor has admonish the Armed Forces of Nigeria to stand up to their Constitutional responsibilities and guarantee a peaceful general election.
Addressing the Armed Forces at the International Military Sports Council (CISM) day run 2023 at Aguiyi Ironsi sports complex in Abuja, Gen Irabor noted that as a security agency, Nigerians are looking up them for a rancour free elections.
Represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans, Defence headquarters, Air Vice marshal Jackson Yusuf, the CDS said the CISM day run is indicative of the Military’s fitness and high moral in combating the insecurity challenges bedeviling the nation.
CISM which was founded in 1948 is organised to commemorate the end of the second world war as a symbol of world peace.
Highpoint of the CISM day run 2023 was the presentation of awards to the participants who performed excellently.
