NAAT Suspends Nationwide Strike, Rejects ‘No work, No pay’ policy

The National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) has suspended its nationwide strike for three months. National President of NAAT, Comrade Ibeji Nwokoma, made this known while addressing newsmen after the National Executive Council meeting of the union in Abuja.

Nwokoma who explained that the union embarked on the strike on 21 March, 2022 to press home its demands which include non-full implementation of the 2009 agreement among other grievances said commitments and resolutions were arrived at after several engagements with the government.

The Union however rejected the ‘No work, No pay’ policy of the Federal Government, indicating further interface on the subject matter on their behalf by the Nigeria Labour Congress.

NAAT however directed it’s members in public tertiary institutions to resume work from Midnight of Friday ,26th August 2022,while also throwing its offices open for final year project students/researchers with on-going research activities and other unfinished practical works.
