Just In: Nigeria’s CAC Registers Over 73,000 New Companies In 3 Months
As part of efforts to be one of the top most friendly countries in the Ease of Doing Business, the Nigerian Government set in process mechanism to ensure that company registration is easily done. To this end the Government took a proactive steps in October 2018 to reduce the amount and processes for business registration especially the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The driver of this process, the Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission says not less than 73,000 companies were registered within three months under its cost-friendly Business Incentive Strategy that was rolled out in the last quarter of 2018. And the CAC acting Registrar General, Lady Azuka Azinge was very optimistic that the commission will record a higher number of company registration in the first quarter of 2019.
