TETFund, NSCDC Partner To Boost Campus Security Nationwide.
The Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, are partnering to strengthen security across tertiary institutions in the country.
The collaboration comes amid rising concerns over attacks on schools and the abduction of students. This formed the focus of a courtesy visit by the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to the TETFund headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking during the visit, the NSCDC boss underscored the critical role of the Corps in Nigeria’s security architecture, particularly in the protection of national critical assets and infrastructure, including educational institutions and sought TETfund support in upgrading the Corps’ six training institutions

In his remarks, the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Architect Sonny Echono reaffirmed the readiness of the Fund to collaborate and support initiatives that would enhance security within Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.
