Breaking: Stop Militarising Elections, Civil Society Group Warns Buhari Again
s Nigeria goes to the polls for the second time in two weeks, now to elect executive governors in twenty nine states and members of states assembly in the thirty six states of the federation, a civil society group has expressed more concern on an increased militarisation of the electoral process. The Executive Director, Centre for Transparency Advocacy, Faith Nwadishi who expressed worries at a news conference in Abuja said military are still playing active role in the electoral process inspite of the out cry during the country’s Presidential and National Assembly Polls forth night ago. She said the CTA Situation Room will continue to push for the arrest of election offenders and their sponsors to serve as deterrence to others.
