2021 Pilgrimage: NCPC Targets 10,000 Pilgrims.

The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev. Yakubu Pam has restated the commitment of the commission to realize the target of 10, 000 intending pilgrims for the 2021 pilgrimage exercise.

A signed statement by the Head of Media and Public Relations, Celestine Toruka made available to Channel Network Afrique indicates that Rev Paid stated this when he paid a visit to the Commission’s North Central Zonal Office, Gwagwalada to ascertain the situation on ground with a view to addressing them.

While assuring that more number of intending pilgrims would be airlifted to the Holy Land this year, the NCPC boss briefed the staff on the state of preparedness for the 2021 General Pilgrimage.

He explained that the zonal officers have more work to do this year, considering the fact that they are closer to the people and can be easily accessed.

Earlier, the zonal coordinator of the North Central Zonal Office, Nicholas Kiva commended Rev. Yakubu Pam for being the first Executive Secretary to pay a familiarization visit to the zone since its relocation from Makurdi to Gwagwalada in 2019.

Kiva who also applauded the NCPC boss for the success of the recently concluded State of readiness visit to Israel and Jordan spoke on the need for the NCPC to charge the mobilization strategy of the Commission by getting the Church involved in promoting Christian Pilgrimage.

He however, condoled the Executive Secretary over the loss of his mother, and prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

During the visit, the NCPC Boss inspected activities at the zonal office after which he expressed satisfaction with the staff.
