The Federal Capital Territory-Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) has described as fake the trending recruitment letter on social media purported from the revenue service.
The management in a statement signed by its Head, Corporate Communications, Mustapha Sumaila on Monday said the trending letters were aimed to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians of their hard-earned savings.
He noted that the service is not currently recruiting, and cautioned the public not to fall victims of unscrupulous elements.
The service assured the general public that it would investigate towards unraveling and possibly prosecute the orchestrators of the fraudulent recruitment scheme.
