The Vanguard for Transparent Leadership and Democracy (VATLAD)has expressed disappointment at the suspension of the Managing Director of Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) by President Buhari
In a statement signed by it’s National President, Comrade Igbini Emmanuel and made available to Channel Network Afrique, the Group expressed reservation over the development simply because a panel of inquiry was set up to investigate the management of NPA under her leadership
The Statement read: We demand that she should be allowed to continue her patriotic work while the inquiry or Investigation continues and the proceedings be made public.
This is because we have seen cases where unpatriotic group of elites who oppose any patriotic and positive Change to their atrocities against Nigeria and Nigerians make flivorous Allegations against Patriots like Hadiza with a view to getting such persons out of the way through suspension like this.
So far, the news we have heard and seen about her performance since she was appointed MD of NPA is so heartwarming and encouraging, giving Nigerians Hope for true positive Change in Nigeria.
Her leadership has brought relatively high level of Transparency, Accountability and good management of Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA). This trend must not be truncated under the guise of any Panel of Inquiry set up to probe her leadership.
