The World Food Day is celebrated every year to create awareness about the existing problems of obesity and malnutrition due to hunger.
As Nigeria join the rest of the world to observe the 2020 edition of the day on October 16, the federal government has assured of efforts to sustain its food sufficiency initiatives.
At a news conference to highlight activities lined up to commemorate the day, Minister of Agriculture and Rural development, Alhaji Sabo Nanono says plans are on to ban importation of Milk into the country. He said Nigeria with a lifestock sector worth over 13 trillion naira has has no reason to import Milk.
