“It’s Not About Noise Making”: Dr. Nura Manu Zoro Vows to Tackle Out-of-School Crisis in Bauchi

Dr. Nura Manu Zoro, a leading aspirant for the Bauchi State governorship, has officially submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms, pledging a departure from “noise-making” politics in favor of a results-driven administration.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja shortly after the submission, Dr. Manu, who served as part of the state government’s team in 2019, emphasized that his intimate knowledge of the state’s political landscape and governance structures gives him a competitive edge over other “gladiators” in the race.
”Bauchi is not a state for noise-making; it is a ground where the unexpected happens,” Dr. Manu stated. “We have been working on the ground to help people. It is about delivery, not the volume of the campaign.”
The Three-Point Pillar
Outlining his vision for the state, Dr. Manu identified three primary areas of focus intended to transform the socio-economic standing of Bauchi:
Consolidating Basic Education: Addressing the state’s critical education gap. Dr. Manu noted with concern that Bauchi currently holds one of the highest numbers of out-of-school children in Nigeria.
Commercializing Agriculture: Implementing a shift from subsistence farming to a commercial model designed to increase the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and drastically reduce poverty.
Security and Cooperation: Strengthening ties with the Federal Government to ensure lasting peace and regional stability.
Confidence in Victory
Responding to questions regarding the crowded field of aspirants, the former government aide expressed confidence in his momentum, suggesting he remains “ahead” of his contemporaries in terms of grassroots engagement.
He urged his supporters to remain focused and diligent as the election cycle progresses. “Let us just go and do the right thing. Work hard and get the elections done. We will deliver,” he concluded.
