Military Foils ₦3.5b Oil Theft In 90 Days, Down Terrorists Kingpins – DHQ

The Nigerian military says, it has foiled oil theft worth over three point five billion naira in its fight against economic saboteurs in the nation’s oil rich region.

The Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General, Markus Kangye disclosed this to news men at its quarterly briefing in Abuja to highlight strides recorded by troops in diverse operations across the country.

He said the gains thought, not without resistance was a testament to the commitment of the military to achieve the presidential directive on upscaling daily oil production in the Niger Delta region.

Major General, Kangye also spoke on other achievements including the killing of dreaded terrorists leaders in the period under review that led to thousands of terrorists including ISWAP members surrendering to the gallant troops.

He however, urged Nigerians to always support the military in the fight against terrorists and criminal elements in the country.
