The Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund has rewarded 19 staff for exceptional performance during the 2024 service year.
The Fund also gave awards to 27 others for their long years of service in the Fund. Speaking during its 2024 Long Service/Staff of the Year Award in Abuja ,TETFund Executive Secretary, Sonny Echono said staff appreciation, including long service awards, were essential elements of motivation for the workforce.
He expressed gratitude to the staff who had worked tirelessly within the year, stating their dedication to duty has helped make TETFund’s impact felt across the nooks and corners of the country.
Echono further announced the approval of the Board of Trustees increment of staff salaries which has been stagnant since 2011.
In his remarks, the Chairman Board of Trustees of TETFund, Aminu Masari said the award aims to not only encourage the staff but challenge them to put in their best at all times.
The awards were categorized based on their years of service, with 10 staff members receiving the Bronze Award, 18 receiving the Silver Award, and 9 receiving the prestigious Gold Award.
