The Chartered Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria, CIPMN has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Maiduguri to establish a Department of Project Management to run a four year Project Management Bachelor of Science degree programme.
University of Maiduguri, represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Central Administration, Professor, Mohammed Mele is the second to enter into such agreement with CIPMN after the Coal City University.
Speaking after signing the MoU, the Registrar, CIPMN, Henry Mbadiwe said the move was inline with the partnership entered with the National Universities Commission in designing the first core curriculum minimum academic standard for Nigerian ivory towers.
He also used the occasion to attribute successes recorded so far to the support given to the Institute by the Tinubu led administration.
The Chartered Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria is also in talk with the University of Lagos, Lagos State University among other universities across the six geopolitical zones to establish a Department, Training and Licencing hubs for its members.
The Institute also promised to support in the building of skills centres in the universities to deliver the programme.
